Ken Anderson (formerly known as Mr. Kennedy) states that he’s not surprised that WWE hasn’t invited him back, and he says he’d like to return at some point.

Anderson previously wrestled for WWE for several years; he debuted on SmackDown n August 2005, and he had a prominent run with the company. He won the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2007, but injuries derailed his career, and he was released in 2009. Anderson then had a notable run with TNA, where he won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship twice.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Anderson was asked whether he was surprised that WWE hasn’t invited him to come back. Anderson noted that he wasn’t, given some of the things that he previously said. He also noted that he turned out a potential offer for a Royal Rumble appearance a few years ago.

“No, I’m not surprised,” Anderson said. “I said some really sh—- things on the way out the door, and I completely get it. I would like to eventually be able to go back there and finish it out, but I completely understand if that doesn’t happen. I did it to myself.

“I was asked a few years ago, it wasn’t official, but I was asked but Daivari, ‘Hey, your name came up for Royal Rumble. Would you be interested?’ I wasn’t. I was completely out of shape, and I turned it down. But it wasn’t an official ask anyway. I just said, ‘No, I’m not interested.'”
