Kenny Omega will officially appear on the May 1 episode of AEW Dynamite.

The Canada Life Centre previously advertised former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega for the May 1 taping of AEW Dynamite. However, AEW had not confirmed the news.

During the April 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, the broadcast team announced that Kenny Omega would return on the May 1 episode, which will be held in his hometown of Winnipeg. Further details were not provided.

Omega has been sidelined with diverticulitis since December, and it has been made clear that he was very sick. Since then, Omega has deliberated getting surgery; previously, the swelling was reportedly too severe to do so. In a recent update while speaking on his Twitch stream, Omega said that taking any impact would likely be an issue, so he would have to make sure that it was taken care of.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
