WWE RAW picked Kiana James in the 2024 WWE Draft.

On the April 26 episode of WWE SmackDown, the 2024 WWE Draft began. Both brands made some big picks, and NXT’s Carmelo Hayes was the first NXT superstar off the board. However, he was not alone.

In the fourth round, RAW selected Kiana James. James is a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion; she held the titles with Fallon Henley.

The broadcast then cut to the WWE Performance Center, where the NXT roster was holding a draft party. James commented on getting drafted, saying that it meant the world to her and she was filled with gratitude. James said she was proud of everything she had done in NXT, and she was proud to show the world why she was the “one percent.”

As of this writing, James’ last televised NXT match was on the April 9 episode. There, she and Izzi Dame beat Fallon Henley and Kelani Jordan.
