New Day‘s Kofi Kingston is thankful that Big E‘s neck injury isn’t worse than it is.

Kofi Kingston recently spoke with KFOX 14 to discuss a wide variety of subjects. Kingston was asked about the status of his friend and New Day tag team partner Big E, who unfortunately suffered a broken next on an episode of WWE SmackDown in March. Kingston credits Big E’s strong and thick body for allowing the injury not to be worse than it was.

“Because he is so strong and thick, his body was able to hold things together. He didn’t need any surgery,” Kofi Kingston said. “We were just thankful that the injury wasn’t a lot worse than it was. As bad as it was, it could have been a lot worse.”

Big E was injured at the hands of Ridge Holland, a member of Sheamus‘ Fight Night stable. Fight Night is a group that Kingston doesn’t understand because he believes the attitude of their leader, The Celtic Warrior stinks.

“I got seniority over Sheamus – let’s not mistake that. With Ridge and Butch, you have two guys that are brand new on the roster. From a fan perspective – it’s cool to see new talent. As a competitor, I see them aligning themselves with Sheamus; I ask myself, ‘What are you all doing,'” Kofi Kingston said. “His [Sheamus] attitude flat out stinks.”
