WrestleZone recently spoke with Kris Statlander, who was asked to pick a match that best represented her TBS Championship reign. Statlander said her rematch with Jade Cargill, whom she beat for the title, erased the skepticism surrounding her title win.

“I would say when Jade and I eventually had our rematch. And I did prove that I was the better wrestler and I was the rightful champion. I think that kind of said enough for itself. I know people were very skeptical on the way I won the title,” Statlander explained. “So no one really would’ve understood or solidified me as a champion until I had Jade in a fair match.

“She had plenty of time to rest and recover and do what she needed to, come back in peak condition,” she pointed out. “While I was defending the title almost weekly up to that point and I proved I was the better wrestler. I don’t think there was doubt in anyone’s mind after that match.”
