The main event of AEW Big Business was a number one contenders match for the AEW TBS Championship. The wrestlers who competed in the match were Willow Nightingale and Riho. After a challenging battle, Nightingale managed to defeat the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion. After the match, the current TBS Champion Julia Hart and Skye Blue showed up and attacked Willow Nightingale. Fans were expecting Nightingale’s friend and tag team partner Kris Statlander to show up but she was nowhere to be found. Instead, it was AEW’s newest signee Mercedes Moné. So why didn’t the former TBS Champion show up to help her friend?

It turns out that the Galaxy’s Greatest Alien was in fact attacked backstage and thus was unable to show up in time to help Willow Nightingale. Renee Paquette managed to catch up with Statlander, Stokely Hathaway, and Willow Nightingale in the Trainer’s room. When Paquette asked about what happened to the Galaxy’s Greatest Alien, Hathaway mentioned that he found her beaten up backstage.

Willow Nightingale was heavily concerned about Statlander’s health. The former TBS Champion mentioned that she was attacked by both Skye Blue and Julia Hart. She also promised that she would get her revenge along with Willow Nightingale.

“I was watching your match and those two gremlins [Skye Blue and TBS Champion Julia Hart] attacked me from behind. And they made me break my promise to you saying I would always be there for you. And I couldn’t be there tonight. We are going to get our revenge. I’m going to get my revenge. Julia, Sky, this is the end,” Kris Statlander said.

Nightingale will be able to get some retribution for her friend as she will be challenging Julia Hart in the very near future.

Can Nightingale become the next TBS Champion?
