Kurt Angle has now told his side of the story about the ‘stolen pyro’ situation with The Hardy Boyz at WrestleMania 33.

The incident was previously detailed by Angle’s wife, Giovanna, and Reby Hardy on the Wives of Wrestling podcast, where they said that Angle’s pyro was ultimately given to the Hardys.

“If you see a video of Kurt, you know how he comes out, and they do the Hall of Fame? He did this (lifts arms for Kurt Angle pose), waiting for his pyro, and it didn’t happen,” Giovanna said. “And Kurt comes out after I come up to him; he’s like, ‘They didn’t do my pyro.’ He was so f*cking butthurt. Because that’s his thing, fireworks!”

On the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show, Angle spoke in-depth about the red, white, and blue pyro incident at WrestleMania 33 when The Hardy Boyz “stole” his pyro.

“Yes, I was pretty pissed off about it too,” Kurt Angle said. “When I was going out for WrestleMania to be acknowledged as a Hall of Fame inductee, I’m getting ready to go out there and Vince tells me ‘hey listen, we’ve got red, white, and blue fireworks for you. When you go out there point your fingers in the air and we’re going to have the fireworks go off and then we’re going to celebrate your Hall of Fame induction.’ So I go out there and I raise my hands and nothing goes off, no fireworks go off, I lower my hands and raise them again, nothing goes off.”

Angle then explained that he went backstage and was informed by Vince McMahon himself that he made the call to give his fireworks to the Hardyz because they were winning the tag titles that night and didn’t have any pyro set up for the title change ahead of time.

“I came back from out of the arena to go backstage and I said ‘Vince what happened?’ He said ‘Well, unfortunately, the Hardy Boyz were winning the Tag Team Titles tonight and every World Title match has fireworks but theirs. So I called an audible and I stole yours and I’m giving them to the Hardyz because they’re on the segment after you.’ The Hardyz got the red, white, and blue fireworks, the bastards stole them from me,” Kurt Angle said.
