Dave Meltzer has confirmed some of the topics that will be covered in Dark Side of the Ring's new season.

Dark Side of the Ring has been renewed for a fifth season that is expected to premiere on Vice TV this March. Meltzer wrote in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that episodes on Brutus Beefcake, Harley Race, Buff Bagwell, Kurt Angle, Chris Adams, The Sandman, and Black Saturday are being planned:

For the new season of Dark Side of the Ring, we know of these episodes: Brutus Beefcake, Harley Race, Buff Bagwell, Kurt Angle, Chris Adams, Sandman and Black Saturday (when Vince McMahon purchased Georgia Championship Wrestling to get access to the TBS time slot in 1984).

The Kurt Angle episode will cover Angle's past with drug and alcohol addiction.

An Angle documentary was also released on Peacock last September.

Season four of Dark Side of the Ring, which finished airing in August 2023, included episodes on Chris Candido & Tammy "Sunny" Sytch, Magnum TA, the Graham family, Doink the Clown, The Junkyard Dog, Adrian Adonis, Abdullah the Butcher, Bam Bam Bigelow, Bash at the Beach 2000, and Marty Jannetty.

Dark Side of the Ring has been airing since 2019. The series was created by executive producers Evan Husney and Jason Eisener.
