It looks like Rey Mysterio could be making a return to WWE television soon.

Injury

Mysterio has been on the sidelines with another knee injury that resulted in him undergoing surgery as he had the operation in November following him losing the WWE United States Titles to Logan Paul in Saudi Arabia.

The WWE Hall of Famer was written off television on an episode of SmackDown once Santos Escobar turned heel and attacked him because Escobar felt Mysterio was siding with Carlito.

Update

The belief has been Mysterio will pick up from where that storyline left off when he returns to television.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that “Mysterio’s return now looks to be in a few weeks. He was hoping for late January but is pretty close to being ready to return.”
