Being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame is one of the most prestigious honors a professional wrestler can get. One wrestling legend who is yet to receive that honor is Lex Luger.

Fans have often voiced out for Luger‘s induction into the Hall of Fame by claiming that it has been long overdue.

Recently, during an interview with Conrad Thompson on Adfreeshows.com, the wrestling legend pondered over the possibility of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. He also shared that it often catches people by surprise that he hasn’t been inducted into it yet.

“Wow that would be a nice storyline [Sting has his final match in March and me in the Hall of Fame in April]. For sure. I get a little buzz every year lately. As time has passed and a lot of people… We’ve talked about this a little bit before. People will… ‘What? Lex isn’t in? I thought he was already in.’ ‘Wait… Wait… He’s not in?’ I get that all the time. ‘You’re not in?’ I go, ‘No. Not yet. Hopefully someday. Because it will be such an honor.’

“So I always tell people it’s such an honor. There’s definitely more buzz around it maybe this year. And I don’t know. If them including more on The Bump, some of the stuff, more so last couple of years. I’m not sure there’s a direct correlation there or not. Or they… If they even give it that much thought. Before this, prior to selection. Obviously, I’m flattered and honored to so many people have brought up…”

Lex Luger is flattered by the kind words from Eric Bischoff

Luger also mentioned that after hearing what Eric Bischoff had to say about him on an episode of the 83 Weeks Podcast, he was flattered and he loves Bischoff.

“Eric Bischoff… Man… That guy! Man he’s… We have a kind of… We don’t talk a lot or anything. But [we have kind of] like a special relationship now. The kind words he had for me, I love Eric Bischoff. I never thought they would come out of my mouth based on some history. And he gave me a huge compliment on that. He thinks they should put… So, yeah… I’m definitely complimented, flattered, honored, when people say, and obviously what a huge honor, if and when it happens for sure. If it’s this year, man that would be, like you said, like story book fairy tale. If not, down the line sometime. I’m just always hopeful for sure,” Lex Luger said.

Do you think Luger will be inducted into the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame?
