As expected, WWE has brought in Randy Orton for WrestleMania 39 weekend.

Fans have waited nearly a year to see the former WWE Champion back on television, and they may get their wish granted in the next few days.

Orton last worked a match when he and Matt Riddle dropped the Raw Tag Team Titles to The Usos in a Winner Take All match on SmackDown in May 2022. The initial belief was Orton would take time off due to a back injury before returning. However, he had to get fusion back surgery and was put on the sidelines for much longer.

There have been hints that Orton is close to returning, whether that was a recent report that noted there had been internal rumblings about Orton’s WWE status. Also, wrestling bootmaker Jose G Sanz stated on social media last month that Orton recently contacted him about making boots for his return. It was reported last week that WWE was bringing in Orton for the big weekend.

Pwinsider Elite reports that Orton has arrived in LA for WrestleMania weekend. It’s still unclear whether WWE has plans to use him at WrestleMania, save his return for Monday’s Raw, or if he’s visiting friends.

As previously reported, there was a recent creative pitch for Riddle.
