The Von Erichs comment on carrying on their family’s legacy.

Ross and Marshall Von Erich are the sons of Kevin Von Erich. Kevin lost his brothers David, Kerry, Mike, and Chris through a series of tragedies. The family’s story was recently featured in the film The Iron Claw.

Speaking on Talk Is Jericho, Ross and Marshall Von Erich shared their thoughts on the pressure that comes with their family name. (H/t Ross W Berman IV of Wrestling Inc. for the transcription)

“It’s a huge burden,” Ross said. “The pressure we put on ourselves just to live up to the name … It really is unbelievable. We really put so much pressure on ourselves.”

Marshall then noted that they didn’t realize how much the family name meant to wrestling fans

“We went to Japan [and] we saw the mark that our uncles and grandfather made,” Marshall said. “And then we came to Dallas, or [the] Texas area, it changed dramatically.”

The brothers noted that when they traveled to Texas, they heard many stories about their family and their impact in the wrestling world and beyond.

Ross and Marshall made their AEW in-ring debut on the December 15 episode of AEW Rampage. They also competed at ROH Supercard of Honor.
