Matt Cardona is living the dream.

Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder, has reinvented himself since his WWE release in 2020. He has won the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, the GCW World Championship, and the IMPACT Digital Media Championship, among other titles. His wife, Chelsea Green, was a key part of his act on the independent scene, but she returned to WWE at the Royal Rumble 2023 premium live event. Cardona has previously stated that he’s proud of Green, but he views her WWE return as a positive for another reason.

Speaking with Simon Miller of WhatCulture Wrestling, Cardona made it clear that he’s enjoying his status as a free agent. He noted that he wants to be his own boss and have fun. Cardona then stated that he’s literally living the dream because he’s married to a WWE “diva” now Chelsea Green, has returned to WWE.

“I want to make money. I want to be my own boss,” Cardona said. “[If] I go back to WWE, I can’t be my own boss, but I want to keep making the figures, keep doing the podcasts, living the dream, having fun, making money, having sex with my hot wife, Chelsea Green. Listen, I used to have WWE divas’ posters on my wall. Now I’m having sex with one all the time. That’s living the f—- dream, right? I’m living the f—- dream. Matt Cardona has sex with a WWE diva every night. That’s a clickbait headline. That could be the title of this f—- thing.”

Green and Sonya Deville will challenge Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the April 21 episode of WWE SmackDown. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
