Matt Hardy has seen a lot of success in this business. Matt rose to fame as a tag team specialist during the nineties. He and his younger brother Jeff Hardy became one of the pillars of WWE’s tag team division in the Attitude Era.

Both men became part of some of the biggest and monumental matches at WrestleMania matches as well. While Matt’s WrestleMania record isn’t impressive when it comes to wins, the elder Hardy does have more WrestleMania appearances than his brother.

Here are his five best matches at WrestleMania:

Fatal Four-Way Tag Team Ladder Match (WrestleMania 33)

The Hardy Boyz made their illustrious return to WWE at WrestleMania 33. Their unannounced appearance prompted a huge reaction from the crowd. The duo took on The Good Brothers, Enzo and Cass, and The Bard.

The Hardyz entered the match as veterans of the ladder stipulation. They pretty much emerged as its biggest highlight reel. Matt took out Karl Anderson with a Twist of Fate from the top of the ladder.

He’d eventually unhook the RAW Tag Team Championship, ending the Hardys’ curse of losing tag team title ladder matches at WrestleMania.

Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio (WrestleMania XIX)

Matt Hardy versus Rey Mysterio kicked off WrestleMania XIX. Both men competed for Hardy’s WWE United States Championship. Matt was playing his Version 1.0 gimmick at the time, and had Shannon Moore as his manager.

The two superstars set the playing field with a solid back-and-forth match. Fans wanted Rey to dethrone Matt at the former’s WrestleMania debut. Unfortunately for Rey, Matt pulled off a sneaky win after five minutes of action.

Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy (WrestleMania XXV)

Matt Hardy betrayed his younger brother on the road to WrestleMania XXV. The two siblings renewed their feud from the Ruthless Aggression Era. The match took place under Extreme Rules stipulation.

Fans got to witness a brutal fight between the former tag team champions. Both men relied on foreign objects to influence the outcome of the match. Jeff took out his brother with a dive from the top turnbuckle onto wedged tables, with Matt placed on the lower table.

However, Matt would turn the tides by evading a huge leg drop before putting his brother away with a neck-crushing Twist of Fate for the win.

Triangle Tag Team Ladder Match (WrestleMania 2000)

The Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian made history as the first two teams to compete in a WWE tag team ladder match in 1999. The four men were joined by the Dudley Boyz to determine the fate of the tag team titles in a ladder match at WrestleMania 2000.

The six men put their bodies on the line and much deservedly stole the show. All participants took some brutal bumps. Matt, in particular, went through the table during the closing moments of the match that sealed the win for E&C.

The greatest ladder match in the history of this business, without a doubt, featured three of the best teams from the Attitude Era. The Hardys, Dudleys, Edge, and Christian wanted to steal the show – and they did.

Matt and Bubba came crashing down on multiple stacked tables in what was a major callback to Bubba’s fall from TLC I at SummerSlam 2000. Jeff would suffer a brutal fate as well with a mid-air spear from archrival Edge to deliver inarguably the greatest spot from a ladder match.
