Michelle McCool hasn’t been asked to be in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble… yet?

McCool posted the following on Twitter in response to a fan asking if she would be in this year’s Royal Rumble match:

The funny thing is … the same thing happened in 2023.

Michelle McCool said WWE didn’t ask her to be in the match last year, either. However, fan support caused her to be a late addition in the 2023 women’s Rumble.

“Real talk….thank YOU @WWEUniverse! Y’all legit did this and I love you for it!I’ve never felt so loved?Because of y’alls messages to @wwe & @TripleH the last 2 weeks, I got the call…9 days before the Rumble (I wasn’t lying when I told y’all I hadn’t gotten the call yet),” McCool wrote on Twitter after her surprise 2023 appearance.

Will history repeat itself in 2024? We’ll have to wait and see.

Michelle McCool was in the last two women’s Royal Rumble matches, two of just four in-ring appearances she’s made since retiring from full-time competition. McCool also appeared in the 2018 Royal Rumble and in a women’s battle royal at WWE Evolution that same year. McCool’s last singles match was a “Loser Leaves WWE” match against Layla at Extreme Rules 2011.
