MLW Fusion Results – November 17, 2022

MLW Fusion kicked off with a hype package for tonight’s main event that will see Alex Kane defend his National Openweight Championship against Davey Richards.

The Samoan SWAT Team defeated Los Maximos

  • Juicy Finau hits a double Samoan Drop on Los Maximos, followed by a Polynesian Splash by Lance Anoa’i to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Mance Warner is at the bar and challenges Mads Krügger to a future match based on what happened between them in Battle Riot IV. Microman appears and tries to steal Warner’s beer. Warner ends up letting him have it and pulls out another beer for himself. Warner said Microman had some big balls to do that, and they toasted.

A segment aired that teased dissension between the current MLW World Tag Team Champions Hustle & Power due to what went down at Battle Riot IV. They agreed in the hotel that they needed to focus on defending the titles and that they would worry about everything else later.

MLW World Middleweight Champion Myron Reed is being interviewed backstage and says to keep sending challengers from AAA and Dragon Gate, and he’ll keep defeating them. Calvin Tankman interrupts, and Reed questions the intentions of his tag team partner EJ Nduka in an attempt to further separate the current tag team champions.

They show a recap of Brittany Blake attacking Taya Valkyrie last week. Valkyrie said if Blake wanted a title shot, all she had to do was ask. The title match is set for next week’s episode.

Richard Holliday and Alicia Atout cut a short promo to hype up his match against Alex Hammerstone for the MLW World Championship next week on Fusion.

Killer Kross (w/ Scarlett Bordeaux) defeated Matt Cross

  • Kross hits the Doomsday Saito Suplex on Cross to pick up the pinfall victory.

They air a video package for Shun Skywalker, who is coming to Major League Wrestling soon.

Davey Richards is interviewed backstage ahead of his match tonight against Alex Kane. Richards said he doesn’t talk; he does and states he will win the MLW National Openweight Championship tonight.

Alex Hammerstone is confronted by EJ Nduka backstage about wanting a shot at the MLW World Championship. Nduka believes Holliday doesn’t deserve another title shot. Hammerstone agrees with him but says it’s not his call and that Cesar Duran is the one making his matches. Hammerstone is called away, and another wrestler is shown laid out with a card on their chest. Hammerstone confronts Duran about it, who claims that he has nothing to do with it.

Davey Richards defeated Alex Kane to become the new MLW National Openweight Champion

  • Richards hits a Gotch-Style Sitout Powerbomb on Kane to secure the pinfall victory and the championship.

Davey Richards celebrates his title win before having a staredown with Myron Reed, who is standing on the ramp to close this week’s episode of MLW Fusion.
