Major League Wrestling (MLW) might be eyeing Mauro Ranallo to do commentary for the promotion, which would be a huge score for the company.

A big name when it comes to pro wrestling announcing has been on the sidelines for a number of years now. But it looks like Major League Wrestling might be eyeing Mauro Ranallo to do commentary for the company.

‘MLW is Exploring the Possibility’

Ranallo has been with multiple wrestling companies in addition to calling boxing and MMA for a reason – he’s one of the best at it. Fightful Select, “MLW is exploring the possibility of bringing veteran commentator Mauro Ranallo back into the wrestling world, with talks underway for a potential collaboration. Ranallo, known for his work in WWE and other combat sports events, could make a wrestling comeback with MLW after being absent from the pro wrestling scene for some time.

“Fightful Select reports that a longtime commentator known for both combat sports and pro wrestling has been absent from the wrestling scene for a considerable time, but that might soon change,” SEScoops noted. “Reports suggest that MLW has been engaging in discussions with Ranallo regarding a potential role within the promotion. While no deal has been finalized, there appears to be genuine interest from MLW’s side, especially considering Ranallo’s prior collaborations with MLW owner Court Bauer on a Strikeforce project.”

When Ranallo left WWE in 2020, he ended up working for TNA for a time, calling the main event of IMPACT Rebellion in 2021.

Ranallo has had mental health issues that he has been public about and has politely and professionally suggested in the past that the mental strain of working at WWE was simply too much for him.

Hopefully if he lands at MLW, he will be able to contribute to their product while also being mentally healthy. Either way, the best of luck to Mauro Ranallo.
