Multiple promotions are cutting ties with Davey Richards.

The Team Ambition wrestling academy out of St. Louis announced on Friday that they are "formally and permanently" parting ways with the 40-year-old.

Team Ambition wrote:

ANNOUNCEMENT

The decision has been made for Team Ambition to formally and permanently part ways with Davey Richards.

In the coming months Team Ambition, including the Professional Wrestling Academy, will be undergoing some changes and rebranding. We remain dedicated to making the St. Louis Professional Wrestling scene, as well as Professional Wrestling as a whole, better and stronger. We want to thank everyone sincerely for their ongoing support.

The St. Louis Anarchy promotion announced yesterday that Richards was no longer scheduled for its show on April 14.

Prestige Wrestling also announced that they are cutting ties with Richards "effective immediately."

Richards' Twitter account is currently deactivated.

According to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, the companies are cutting ties with Richards due to allegations of domestic abuse. He wrote, "Many companies have terminated their association with Davey Richards due to violating their policies and code of conducts, due to allegations of domestic abuse."

He would later write, "Richards had privately denied any allegations to several who he'd been in contact with"

Richards was announced as Eddie Kingston's replacement for the OTT ScrapperMania 7 show in Dublin on Saturday. The promotion stated earlier today that as a result of Kingston testing positive for COVID-19, Richards will substitute for him in a match against Big Damo on the show.

Richards is also scheduled to face Jon Moxley at Josh Barnett's Bloodsport 9 later this month.
