The Kabuki Warriors are once again WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

Damage CTRL's Kabuki Warriors duo of Asuka & Kairi Sane defeated Katana Chance & Kayden Carter on Friday's WWE SmackDown to capture the Women's Tag titles for the second time in their careers.

Sane pinned Carter after hitting an InSane Elbow to win the titles, and Damage CTRL celebrated together after the contest, with an emphasis on Asuka, Sane, WWE Women's Champion IYO SKY, and Dakota Kai, while group member Bayley was presented as something of an outsider.

A video package hyping Bayley's quest to win the Royal Rumble aired during SmackDown as the tension within Damage CTRL continues to be a focus.

WWE's chief content officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque commented on the Kabuki Warriors win in a social media post:

The #KabukiWarriors continue to be a force that nobody is ready to reckon with… Congratulations to your NEW @WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, @WWEAsuka and @KAIRI_official. #SmackDown

Triple H also commended Chance & Carter on X:

Proud of @wwekayden and @Katana_WWE for holding their own and having an incredibly impressive championship run. Looking forward to seeing what’s next for them…

Chance & Carter held the Tag titles for 40 days after winning them from Chelsea Green & Piper Niven on the December 18, 2023 Raw.
