Former WWE Superstar Nic Nemeth has made a huge impact in his first match in New Japan Pro Wrestling. He defeated David Finlay at the NJPW New Begining special event to become the new IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion.

Nemeth has had many matches against some of the top talents during his time in WWE. One of them was Bryan Danielson. Nic Nemeth is open to having a one-on-one match against the American Dragon outside the Stamford-based promotion.

During an interview with Monopoly Events‘ Jamal Niaz, Nic Nemeth mentioned that he would love to wrestle Danielson and show the world that he is better than the American Dragon.

“I like that [getting in the ring with either Kazuchika Okada or Bryan Danielson]. The really weird thing is, I’d like to be back in there with Daniel Bryan too. Without WWE saying he has to win and protecting him. I want to go one-on-one with a guy that everybody treats as one of the best of all time and in the world. I go, ‘You’re not better than me. Not by a long shot.’ So, I want to fight him one-on-one while everybody watches and goes, ‘Oh right. I guess Nic’s pretty good too.’ Like, ‘No! I’m freaking great at this.’ I would absolutely love that.”

Nemeth also wants to wrestle a handful of Japanese Legends.

“I have a long list of some Japanese legends that I want to get into. Because I want to test myself. But man! When I come out on the other side of that I’m looking for Daniel Bryan. I’m going to headbutt him right in the head. Knock him down, choke him out, tap him out, you name it, and I can’t wait,” Nic Nemeth said.
