Piper Niven is back in the ring after spending two months on the shelf with a broken hand.

There was a tag match on Friday's SmackDown where Niven teamed with Chelsea Green in a loss to Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair. It was Niven's first time wrestling since February.

Cargill, who squashed Green on Raw earlier this week, pinned Green again to win the tag match.

Before the match, a segment aired where Niven & Green spoke with general manager Nick Aldis. They wanted an opportunity to show what they can do together. Aldis said he'd try and find them opponents, which ended up being the dominant Cargill & Belair.

During an interview with Gorilla Position over WrestleMania week, Niven said she wasn't cleared to return at the time but was hoping that she would be soon. She explained that her broken hand happened during training:

I broke my hand [at] training, trying to be a better performer. So obviously the universe was like, ‘No, no, no, you’re too good.’ It was like, ‘Hey bro, you can’t – come on, you got to give everybody else a chance.’ So yeah, broke my hand, unfortunately. And it still looks gnarly. This happened the 7th of February. So just over two months. But it’s getting a little better.

Niven & Green are former WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

WWE has announced that Niven & Green vs. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter will take place on Raw this coming Monday (April 15).
