Popular member of AEW roster suspended indefinitely

AEW has parted ways with CM Punk . However, leading up to All Out, there was no news on what punishment Jack Perry received for his part in the scuffle that unfolded at All In in Wembley. When speaking to the media following AEW's All Out pay-per-view, Tony Khan confirmed Perry had been suspended from the company indefinitely.

"He's been suspended indefinitely," Khan said during the media scrum, as transcribed by Fightful. "We've suspended everybody in that investigation and took further action after that based on what happened and came out of the investigation. We suspended Jack as a participant in an incident backstage, and Jack hasn't been around. That's all I can say about it. At the time, we did suspend him and he hasn't been at AEW since AEW All In."

Perry has seen his stock rise quickly over the past few months since making his heel turn. However, the ever-improving wrestler has been involved in a dispute with Punk since the inception of Collision, with a disagreement over the use of real glass thought to be the catalyst.

For Perry, his comment just before slamming Hook into the windshield of a car was that of a young wrestler trying to make his mark. Perry knew he would be antagonizing Punk, but he also knew he was playing into his role as a heel and entertaining the crowd. Unfortunately, things escalated behind the scenes, and it led to one of the most popular wrestlers in the company losing their job.

We shouldn't expect to see Perry back on our screens in the near future. There needs to be a fair amount of time away from in-ring action before a fair punishment has been served. However, Perry's on-air decision didn't warrant the alteration that followed, and that's why he's unlikely to lose his job over the current situation.
