The 2024 WWE Draft will begin on the April 26 episode of WWE SmackDown.

WWE previously announced the pools and the rules for the draft. The pools include several noteworthy omissions and inclusions.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Rhea Ripley was omitted due to her injury, but she is currently expected to rejoin RAW upon her return. Dexter Lumis was not included, and the report notes that there is no word on any plans for him. He has not wrestled since May 2023.

Additionally, the report notes that there is no word on any creative plans for Gable Steveson, who has been working dark matches.

Furthermore, Erik remains sidelined with a neck injury, and he is set to be out for the next few months. Plus, both Carmella and Alex Bliss are still on maternity leave.

Sapp previously reported that Jimmy Uso was not in the draft pools due to a legitimate injury.

WWE Draft Pool Inclusions

Sapp notes that Braun Strowman was included in the draft pool to give him more flexibility upon his return, as is typical with injured talent.

The report states that Seth Rollins is expected to miss some time due to knee surgery. However, he is expected to be factored into the draft.

Finally, Sapp writes that Logan Paul remains with SmackDown, despite not being in the draft pool, and Cody Rhodes has switched to SmackDown, as he is the WWE Champion.

WrestleZone will have coverage of the WWE Draft, starting with the April 26 episode of WWE SmackDown.
