El Hijo del Vikingo is reportedly set to stay with AAA.

AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo has become a breakout star in recent years. He has wrestled on multiple occasions for AEW and ROH, among other promotions on the independent scene. Despite some speculation that he could sign with AEW at some point, a new report states that he will stay with AAA.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that El Hijo del Vikingo has extended his contract with AAA. Per Meltzer, the expectation is that he will work less AAA dates. However, both for personal and professional reasons, he wanted to stay with the company while continuing to work for AEW and other promotions.

Vikingo competed at TNA Hard To Kill, where the company announced that they would be expanding their partnership with AAA. He most recently defended the AAA Mega Championship on the January 18 episode of ROH on HonorClub.
