An injury scare involving Joe Gacy reportedly forced changes to Tuesday's live episode of WWE NXT.

Fightful Select reports that there was concern backstage that Gacy had suffered a concussion in a match against North American Champion Oba Femi on the show. The bout was stopped and ruled a no contest with the referee throwing up the "X" signal that typically indicates a real injury.

An in-ring segment involving Femi and his NXT Stand & Deliver challengers Dijak & Josh Briggs was reportedly changed to a backstage segment, and a planned announcement of a Gacy vs. Shawn Spears match for Saturday's Stand & Deliver kickoff show was delayed.

The report states that Gacy was able to make it backstage without assistance after being checked in the ring by medical personnel, and that his match with Spears was then announced as planned.

That fact would indicate that Gacy passed a concussion check, but the report does not state that explicitly.
