Report: Multiple WWE personnel, including wrestlers, test positive for COVID-19

On Wednesday, Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that at least three individuals who were recently at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla. tested positive for the coronavirus this week.

Satin added that WWE doctors will conduct additional testing ahead of scheduled television tapings and other productions.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer confirmed Satin's story and reported that WWE learned about the positive tests earlier in the week:

Last week, WWE temporarily suspended its taping schedule after one developmental talent tested positive for the virus. Later reports suggested the July 26 edition of "SmackDown" would be live-to-tape from the Performance Center, which has hosted shows since mid-March because of the ongoing pandemic.

Post Wrestling reported that double tapings of "SmackDown" and "Raw" are scheduled for this Friday and Saturday.

Meltzer also wrote that WWE will now test wrestlers and personnel ahead of all tapings and that performers are requested to self-isolate when not at the Performance Center moving forward.

Elsewhere in the wrestling industry, All Elite Wrestling President and CEO Tony Khan tweeted that world champion Jon Moxley (known as Dean Ambrose in WWE) was off Wednesday's "Dynamite" show after he was exposed to somebody with COVID-19:

Tag team The Natural Nightmares were also pulled from that show after member QT Marshall was exposed to the coronavirus:

The Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Lightning are among Florida sports entities hit with coronavirus outbreaks over the past seven days.
