Add another name to the list of NJPW stars with an expiring contract.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Gabe Kidd’s contract is set to be up in January. Kidd has been featured as a member of Bullet Club War Dogs recently, but he has been with NJPW since 2020. He has also often wrestled for RevPro.

Kidd, 26, won the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship with Alex Coughlin. They lost the titles to El Phantasmo and Hikuleo at NJPW Destruction in October 2023. Kidd is set to compete in the Bullet Club War Dogs vs. United Empire cage match on February 11.

This update comes after Sapp reported that Coughlin’s contract was set to expire, and Clark Connors had been working without a contract. Plus, Tama Tonga has said January will be his last month with NJPW. As previously reported, Kazuchika Okada was set to be a free agent.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
