Trick Williams has become one of NXT’s top stars. This run is set to continue, as he is reportedly not under consideration for the WWE Draft.

Trick Williams cemented his status as a top face in NXT at NXT Stand & Deliver. There, he beat Carmelo Hayes in the main event. He is set to challenge Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship at NXT Spring Breakin’.

Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that there were talks of potentially bringing Trick Williams up to the main roster in the WWE Draft. However, sources say that he is no longer being considered for a move, barring a last-minute change. That being said, main roster officials remain high on him.

Per Brennan, Trick Williams is planned to be a focal point of NXT moving forward. Brennan cites NXT sources who note that Williams has been seen as a future star by NXT officials for quite some time. NXT sources spoke highly of his work ethic and his ability to learn quickly.

Fightful‘s Sean Ross Sapp noted that staff on the main roster have had their eye on Trick Williams for years. Additionally, sources expressed their belief that Williams has not plateaued yet.

Shawn Michaels recently compared Williams to John Cena. Check out his comments here.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
