Brock Lesnar has been absent from WWE programming for several months. A new report provides an update on his potential return.

Earlier in January, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Brock Lesnar would be back on WWE television very soon. Meltzer noted that Lesnar could set up his next program at Royal Rumble.

In an update, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Royal Rumble was originally discussed as a potential target for Lesnar’s return.

Recently, Fightful reported that Brock Lesnar was to return to WWE TV. This week, Fightful learned that Royal Rumble was originally discussed as a potential target. Sapp reports that this scenario was iterated on Thursday. However, it was noted that the plans may change, given Lesnar’s implied inclusion in the Vince McMahon lawsuit.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
