Rey Mysterio has fond memories of his time teaming with Rob Van Dam.

SmackDown Superstar Rey Mysterio recently sat down with Rumor & Innuendo. When asked about his time teaming with Rob Van Dam in WWE, Mysterio said he loved teaming with RVD and spoke about all the unique moves the duo would come up with.

“I loved teaming up with Rob,” Rey Mysterio admitted. “We were very excited; he was more explosive than I was. But the fact that we would come up with these moves together; it was really a fun time. Every now and then, when I have tag matches, I always go back and see some of the stuff that we did together and try to recreate it in a different way. The stuff I did with Rob was only with Rob. So I really enjoyed working with him very much, man.”

Mysterio would go on to praise the work that Rob Van Dam is still doing today and admits he wishes he could stretch and meditate as he does.

“I’ve been a big fan of his for a very long time,” Rey Mysterio continued. “He looks incredible, he moves incredible. I have so much respect because he takes the time to take care of his body and stretch. Always very on point with at least an hour before his match to just relax his body and meditate and stretch, and I wish that’s something I could do.”
