Former friends and stablemates will collide at AEW Dynasty.

At AEW Battle of the Belts X, AEW International Champion Roderick Strong defeated Rocky Romero in an eliminator match. After the bout, Kyle O’Reilly tried to stop Undisputed Kingdom from attacking Romero. Strong then turned on O’Reilly and told him to stay away from his title. The broadcast team subsequently confirmed that Strong would defend the gold against O’Reilly at AEW Dynasty.

In a digital exclusive following AEW Battle of the Belts X, Roderick Strong sent a message to Kyle O’Reilly.

“Why, Kyle, why? Why did you make me do that? You put that decision into my hands, and I had to put you down. I know, Kyle, I said I respect the fact that you want to do it on your own. But there’s something that you didn’t realize. You don’t get to choose if you do it on your own. I’m the one that chooses if you do it on your own, and now, from here on out, you’re gonna do it on your own.

“You’re gonna do it against me, and Kyle, your comeback was sweet, and I swear to you, I smiled, and I cried because I was so happy to have you back. But I want you to know this. When we step into the ring, I am gonna break you, and I am gonna end you forever.”

Strong won the title by defeating Orange Cassidy at AEW Revolution. O’Reilly recently returned to the rung after missing over a year after he had neck surgery.

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Dynasty as it airs on April 21.
