WWE

We’ve been hearing a lot from her on her book tour, and now Ronda Rousey makes a stunning accusation against a current NXT Superstar.

I personally have not read Rousey’s book, and I honestly don’t have plans to. From all the reports I’ve been listening to, mixed in with some truths seems to be a lot of bitterness. And we may have another truth here…followed by some more of that bitterness.

What went down?

Rousey, while discussing her book on NewsNation, recalled one uncomfortable instance. During this encounter backstage, Ronda was waiting to talk to Triple H. As she waited, she said Drew Gulak walked past and grabbed the string of her sweatpants. At the time, she and Gulak were barely acquaintances. The former WWE Superstar said she was surprised that no one seemed phased by it. She ultimately confronted Gulak about it and told him if anything happened again, they’d have problems.

Rousey saw this as WWE being too permissive with questionable behavior, and we’ve heard of other tales in recent years. But what I found particularly surprising was one of her next remarks, about a possible WWE return. According to Rousey, she would not return to WWE without a major restructuring of the management.

I found this a bit crazy because many of those who fostered the toxic environment are gone. Vince McMahon fell once, got back up and fell one final time. He’s persona non grata so much so that his name cannot be uttered on WWE programming. John Laurinaitis and others are gone. So, does her remark indicate that not all of the problems are gone? It seems that way, which would be interesting to see. Given that there is a pending lawsuit, if any remaining employees are caught up with that, it would seem likely that TKO would respond accordingly.
