Ronda Rousey, in real-life and in WWE, is somewhat similar; but, the former UFC Champion refused to allow 1 change to her character.

WrestleMania 35 was historic as women were in the main event for the first time. Becky Lynch walked out with two sets of gold belts after getting the better of Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey. The final spot, saw Lynch pin Rousey. In the five years that have since passed, Lynch and Flair remain some of WWE’s top superstars. Although, Rousey left over the summer and has not spoken kindly about some top WWE names.

Heading into the historic match, Rousey was running late to the venue and producer, TJ Wilson, began mapping out the match and explained everything to Rousey when she arrived. While speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Lynch went over a particular spot Rousey refused to allow happen. Basically, she would never tap out.

Refused To Tap

“Maybe you have Ronda in armbar, she looks like she’s about to tap out,” said Lynch as she discussed what Wilson proposed. “Ronda comes and we tell her the creative, ‘You’re almost about to tap out.’ ‘My mom wouldn’t look me in the eye or talk to me again if I looked like I was about to tap out.’ ‘Alright, well, she’s probably not going to tap out on the finish then.’ She never tapped out in her career. Understood it, respected it, and moved on quickly.”

Lynch continued how none of that mattered. In the end, she was still leaving WrestleMania as a double-champion. She did secure the pin, giving Rousey her first WWE defeat. Oddly enough, right now, all three women are not currently active. Lynch lost to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40 and is yet to return. Her husband, Seth Rollins, just had knee surgery. Flair tore her ACL and might be back around summer. Rousey has done some Indy work, but does not seem interested in a WWE or UFC return. So, was Ronda Rousey correct when she refused to her let her WWE character tap?
