Rosa Mendes says she would only return for the WWE Royal Rumble if she could do it for charity.

Mendes signed with WWE after she competed in the Divas Search in 2006. She remained with the company until she left in 2017. Mendes later returned to the independent scene, but she has been retired in recent years. Throughout her career, she competed against stars like Beth Phoenix and Mickie James. She also managed Primo and Epico, among other clients.

In an interview with Ring The Belle, Mendes was asked whether she would potentially return to WWE and compete in the Royal Rumble Match. She noted that she’d only be open to it if her paycheck went to a charity of her choice.

“Okay, so I said that I wasn’t gonna do it, and then I thought about it. You know what, I would do it for charity,” Mendes said. “I would do it if Vince or WWE offered me this really good amount and gave it to a charity of my choice for a good cause. I would do it for that. I’d give that whole check to them.”

Mendes also commented on how she’s moving on from wrestling. She stated that she’s entering a new chapter of her life that centers around her study of Christian ministry.

“I’m not signing any more memorabilia wrestling-related because this is a new chapter,” Mendes said. “I’m studying Christian ministry. My purpose wasn’t to walk around in skimpy clothes and shake my rear end for men to salivate. That’s not my purpose. My purpose is to make a difference in someone’s life and for God to use me for the greater good and make someone feel worthy and happy and joyful.”
