Saraya claims that her AEW Women’s World Title match was rigged. She also accused the referee of being in on it, claiming he was paid to cost her the match.

Last night was the special, one-night-only Title Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite. One of the marquee matches of the night was the AEW Women’s World Championship match. It was between the champion, Saraya, and the challenger, Hikaru Shida.

The Japanese-born wrestler earned a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship by defeating Ruby Soho in a number one contender’s match on Friday Night Rampage.

It is to be noted that Hikaru Shida had previously defeated Toni Storm to win the title for the second time in her career. Then, at the AEW All In pay-per-view Saraya won a four-way match to capture the gold for the first time in her career.

Last night, as Saraya made her way to the ring, she seemed to be confident that she’d be holding on to the title for a long time. Despite hitting every move in her arsenal, the British-born wrestler was unable to get the win.

The Fix Is In?

Towards the end of the match, Ruby Soho showed up and attempted to use the Outcast’s signature spray paint on Shida. But the Japanese star countered Soho and sprayed her with the spray paint instead.

Then, Toni Storm came out to beat up Soho out of the building. After that, Saraya tried to capitalize by rolling up Shida, but again, the Japanese star countered and managed to pick up the win and become the new AEW Women’s Champion.

After the match, Saraya took to Twitter to claim that the match was rigged.

“IT WAS RIGGED THE REF WAS OBVIOUSLY PAID TO MAKE ME LOSE!!!” Saraya tweeted.

Shida’s now a three-time Champion.

Did you enjoy the match?
