In a new interview, Sean “X-Pac” Waltman has revealed some saddening details about WWE legend Scott Hall‘s final days.
Hall, 63, passed away on Monday ; due to a blood clot that was caused by complications following a hip surgery, Hall suffered three heart attacks on March 12. He was subsequently put on life support, which was pulled ahead of his passing on Monday.
Waltman spoke with Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter for Hall’s obituary/biography, and he stated that when Hall fell at home, he was unable to move, so he couldn’t call for help. It took a few days for anyone to find Hall, as some of his friends asked Diamond Dallas Page to check on him when they hadn’t heard from him. DDP then took Hall to the hospital so he could be treated.
Additionally, Waltman explained Hall’s physical condition worsened due to the pandemic, as he struggled to deal with the forced isolation.
Waltman also said that Hall’s condition had deteriorated badly due to drinking brought on by two years of pandemic-related isolation.
“The pandemic did him in,” said Waltman. “It was hard enough for him as it was, but he was isolated in his house with no social interaction. He was down to 210 pounds. We called Dally (Dallas Page) and he went over. It was really bad.”
Meltzer went on to note that Hall’s condition “got really bad” throughout the past two years leading up to his death.
