A new report paints a picture that Seth Rollins could be off WWE television for a while as he continues to deal with the serious knee injury he suffered earlier this year.

While Cody Rhodes, The Rock, and Roman Reigns received the lion’s share of the focus during Wrestlemania 40 weekend, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins was also a busy man during nights one and two of the historic event.

He closed night one on Saturday then opened the festivities for the card the following night. While he came up short in both of his matches at Wrestlemania 40, his workload was nonetheless impressive considering a knee injury nearly forced him out of the biggest Wrestlemania in WWE history. However, the rest of the bill on the torn MCL and partially torn meniscus he incurred in January reportedly is coming due very soon.

During a post-Wrestlemania edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, long-time industry insider Dave Meltzer gave an update on the health of Rollins’ knee and if he is expected to be in the picture for new episodes of Monday Night Raw in the coming weeks.

“Seth’s taking time off for injury, I don’t know about Becky [Lynch]. I heard not that long, but it’s the knee thing, he’s got to rest the knee up for a little while,” said Meltzer.

Seth Rollins deserves a lot of credit if he was able to battle through and perform at a high level in not one but two matches very high-profile matches with a badly banged-up knee this past weekend. It is unclear how long the former champion will be sidelined but one would have to assume it will be at least a month or two as he heals the knee and deals with other injuries he racked up during a memorable run as the first WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
