Seth Rollins makes spicy choice when faced with CM Punk ultimatum

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch appeared on Wednesday's episode of "Hot Ones Versus."

During the show, Rollins was given an ultimatum. He could eat another spicy hot wing or say three nice things about CM Punk. Rollins chose to eat the wing.

H/t to Fightful for the transcription.

"You know what, here’s the thing about Punk," Rollins said. "I’m sure there are some nice things to say about him. But this is a game of choice. I would rather suffer through this hot wing than say anything publicly nice about him. Yeah. This one’s for you, Punk. [Bites wing] Well here’s one thing I’ll say [that’s] nice about him. He’s a man of conviction, and so am I."

Rollins has been vocal regarding his distaste for Punk. He was the first WWE star to publicly share his disappointment regarding the star's return to the WWE.

Before Punk's injury at WrestleMania, the stage was being set for the two stars to face off for the World Heavyweight championship. There will undoubtedly be a new storyline between the two stars soon.

However, Rollins' decision to avoid saying nice things about Punk on a non-WWE platform is interesting. On one hand, all publicity can help build a feud. On the other, there seems to be some legitimate dislike from Rollins' side. Both of those things could help elevate a potential story and help sell a main event.

Punk has been uncharacteristically quiet in the face of the recent comments made by Drew McIntyre and Rollins. There's going to be some blowback, but it might not be until he's medically cleared to wrestle.

WWE will be putting all of these moments in the bank, though, as Punk has a lot of storylines waiting for him. He's going to be must-see TV once he eventually returns from his torn tricep.
