Shawn Michaels talks Gallus training with The Rock.

This week it was revealed that NXT stars Wolfgang, Mark Coffey, and Joe Coffey — collectively known as Gallus — helped train The Rock for his WrestleMania 40 tag team main event on Saturday.

During the NXT Stand and Deliver press conference on Friday, Shawn Michaels was asked to further comment on Gallus having the opportunity to train The Rock. (H/t WrestlingNews.co for the transcription)

“He needed some folks to train with,” Michaels said. “We’re talking about three guys that know what they’re doing and understand every aspect of the business…you can have somebody younger that can fly around but you need guys that are professional and are mature and can adjust to what The Rock wants.

“I guess, obviously I’m partial to those guys. They’re fantastic guys, they’re so professional. They are very dependable. They said thanks and sent us a picture of The Rock and all three of them doing the Gallus pose so I feel like that’s probably a good sign that everything is going pretty well.”

Gallus hasn’t appeared on NXT TV since February when they briefly feuded with Ridge Holland.

WrestleZone will have complete coverage of WrestleMania 40 each night this weekend.
