There have been several wrestlers who were released from their WWE contracts at the same time a few months ago. With the non-compete clause coming to an end, former WWE Intercontinental and United States Champion Shelton Benjamin is ready to get back into the wrestling business.

The several stars whose non-compete clauses are coming to an end are Mustafa Ali, Dolph Ziggler, Tenille Dashwood, Riddick Moss, Matt Riddle, Top Dolla, Elias, Mansoor, Mace, Dana Brooke, and Shelton Benjamin. All the above-mentioned talents are now officially free agents.

The 90-day No-compete clause has come to an end. With that in mind, Shelton Benjamin took to Instagram to share a small video package referring to him as Godzilla and claimed that it is now time for him to get back to work.

“It’s been fun actually having time to focus on me and enjoy the many fruits of my labors. But all good things must end so time to strap up my boots and get back in the game. Big adventures ahead #justdowork,” Shelton Benjamin posted.

Lance Archer bumps into Shelton Benjamin

A couple of months ago, the former WWE Superstar bumped into current AEW star Lance Archer. This meeting also seemingly raised questions among fans if Shelton Benjamin was signing with the Jacksonville-based promotion.

The Murderhawk Monster was actually trying to pump some iron during the free time he had in Houston, Texas. While working out, he was listening to the ‘Ain’t No Stoppin’ Me Now’ which is the theme song of the Gold Standard. While doing so, the former WWE Superstar video-bombed during the session.

“I came to Houston for a quick little trip but the Japanese consulate was closed for the day. Some people do celebrate Columbus Day once in a while. But that does not stop me from getting a workout in. So, I’m up here in LA Fitness in Houston, Texas… (gets interrupted by Shelton Benjamin asking if he could use the machine)… I mean… I guess there ain’t no stopping you now sheesh…” Lance Archer said.

It is also to be noted that there were reports in the past that an AEW star pushed for the Gold Standard to sign with AEW even before his release from WWE.

Do you think Benjamin will sign with AEW?
