Shelton Benjamin is slated to work his first match since being released by WWE last month, and it will be a notable bout as he steps into the ring with one of TNA Wrestling’s biggest stars.

Benjamin’s first run with WWE started in 2000 when he went to OVW to train and was called up to the main roster in 2002, where he was part of Team Angle and found a ton of success with Charlie Haas as a tag team where they held the Tag Team Titles. He held the Intercontinental three times after they split and the US Title once. He was released in 2010 before turning in 2017, where he had a long run with Chad Gable and then part of The Hurt Business with MVP Cedric Alexander and Bobby Lashley.

Benjamin's last WWE match took place on the September 14, 2023, episode of Main Event, where he teamed with Alexander to put over The Viking Raiders. He was released last September.

Prestige Wrestling has announced that Benjamin will wrestle Josh Alexander at the Los Angeles Alive or Just Breathing event on Thursday, May 16, from the Vermont Hollywood in LA.
