Sting will be in action on the January 10 episode of AEW Dynamite.

On the January 3 episode, Konosuke Takeshita defeated Darby Allin in a hard-fought match. After the bout, Don Callis issued a challenge for the following week; he dared Allin and Sting to face Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs in a tag team match. The broadcast team later noted that Sting and Allin accepted the bout.

The broadcast team also announced that AEW World Champion Samoa Joe would appear live on the show.

The updated card is as follows:

  • Sting & Darby Allin vs. Don Callis Family (Powerhouse Hobbs & Konosuke Takeshita)
  • AEW World Champion Samoa Joe appears
