Jade Cargill now knows who she will defend the AEW TBS Championship against on the August 6 episode of AEW Dynamite.

On the August 6 episode of AEW Rampage, Madison Rayne defeated “Interim Baddie” Leila Grey in her in-ring debut for the company after Cargill confronted her on the August 4 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation. After the bell, Cargill admitted that she should have handled business herself, so she challenged Rayne to step up and face her on Wednesday. Later in the broadcast, the match was confirmed for the show.

Rayne has a noteworthy background, as she is a former five-time Knockouts Champion with TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. She also won the Knockouts Tag Team Championship three times throughout her run with the company. Meanwhile, Cargill is undefeated in singles action, and she has held the title since she won the finals of the tournament to crown the inaugural champion on the January 5 episode of AEW Dynamite.

The updated card is as follows:

  • AEW World Championship : Jon Moxley (c) vs. Chris Jericho
  • TBS Championship: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Madison Rayne
  • Coffin Match : Brody King vs. Darby Allin
  • Tornado Tag: Lucha Bros vs. Andrade & Rush

WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
