WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase Sr. comments on the investigation into his family.

The Mississippi Department of Human Services is suing DiBiase and his sons, Ted DiBiase Jr. and Brett DiBiase. DiBiase Jr. has been charged with “one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and to commit theft concerning programs receiving federal funds, six counts of wire fraud, two counts of theft concerning programs receiving federal funds, and four counts of money laundering.”

Speaking with Scott Johnson of the Going Ringside With The Local Station podcast, DiBiase Sr. commented on the investigation and called it a bunch of garbage. (H/t Scott Johnson of WJXT News4JAX for the transcription.)

“We’re doing good,” said DiBiase Sr. “All of that is a bunch of garbage. I’m not at liberty to talk about it but you know it’s kind of like they’re looking for a scapegoat.”

DiBiase Sr. also said that his family is being targeted due to his status as a celebrity.

“We’re caught in the middle of it,” DiBiase Sr. said. “If I didn’t have a celebrity name they wouldn’t even be looking at me.”

DiBiase Sr. recently stated that he is suffering from severe brain trauma. More information is available here.
