The Undertaker is a big fan of one of the current champions on the WWE roster because he feels he has a throwback style and is a fantastic storyteller.

During his over 30 years in the professional wrestling business, WWE icon the Undertaker has developed one of the most respected resumes and reputations in the industry. No other performer has been able to keep themselves as relevant while still being a reliable in-ring worker like “The Deadman.”

What he says holds a lot of weight around the business and when he showers praise on a particular talent, it is a huge compliment. During a recent edition of his “Six Feet Under” podcast, Undertaker took some time out to show some love for WWE Intercontinental champion Gunther. A performer the multi-time world champion believes is a special talent with an old-school style in a new-school era.

“I really like him,” Undertaker said about Gunther. “I think the sky’s the limit for him. I think he’s a little bit of a throwback to a different era, but has the ability to work and tell stories. I mean he just had that match with Dom [Mysterio] which is tough, a heel versus a heel is a tough match when somebody doesn’t turn.

“He kept Dominik a heel and he kept himself a heel, and I’m really, really high on him. But, yeah, we would probably fistfight about two chops in.”

The Austrian native is the longest-reigning Intercontinental champion in WWE history and has been praised for his in-ring work for years. However, his mic skills have taken some major leaps forward on the main roster and Gunther has become one of the most complete wrestlers on the current roster.

He is set to defend his gold against former IC and tag champion Sami Zayn at Wrestlemania 40.
