The Young Bucks have taken over.

At the end of the April 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, Jack Perry and AEW EVPs The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) attacked company CEO Tony Khan. AEW went on to announce that Khan was not cleared to travel, so he would be running AEW remotely.

Khan kicked off the May 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, and he was wearing a neck brace. He reiterated that he was not cleared to travel due to the attack. The feed glitched and cut to the Young Bucks. They said they were having technical difficulties, and while Khan was not there on-site, they were.

Matthew noted that the fans might be wondering how it was possible that they were there, given that they attacked Khan. He noted that they had iron-clad contracts with a founder’s clause, and the two of them and their colleagues were probably not going anywhere. Matthew then stated that, per their contracts, if Tony Khan was unreachable and unable to be present, the EVPs would run the show. Matthew made it clear that they were in charge.
