Darby Allin's ladder dive through glass during Sting's retirement match at AEW Revolution against The Young Bucks with the AEW Tag Team Titles on the line got people talking, but it was a different match that put him on the sidelines.

Injury

To the surprise of many, Allin only needed a handful of stitches to close the back wounds that he suffered in the bout. Weeks later, Allin was injured when he wrestled Jay White at AEW Dynamite: Big Business episode.

Earlier this week, Allin revealed that he suffered a broken foot in three places about two minutes into the White match. It happened when he did a flip plancha to the floor, but he worked for more minutes despite the injury.

Timeline

He had to delay climbing Mount Everest until 2025 because of it. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Allin will be sidelined for a few months.

Meltzer wrote, “Depending on the severity and need or surgery, a broken foot can be two months without surgery and luck. CM Punk had surgery and it was three months.”

We wish him a speedy recovery.
