This past Tuesday night on WWE NXT, three stars who had previously moved up to the main roster, made their return to the Black and Gold brand. They were ‘Big’ Bronson Reed, Johnny Gargano, and Cameron Grimes. Recently, an ECW original Tommy Dreamer had some comments about the former Million Dollar Champion.

On NXT, Wes Lee was in the main event wrestling Gargano, Reed, and Grimes in a fatal-four-way match. This match was pitched by the current NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio. Dirty Dom gave Wes Lee one final opportunity to earn his rematch for the NXT North American title. To get the rematch he had to win the fatal-four-way. It is safe to say that the fatal-four-way match was the most important one in Lee’s career. After putting on a hell of a fight, he managed to pick up the win.

After seeing Cameron Grimes perform in the main event, Tommy Dreamer spoke on the latest Busted Open Radio podcast episode. He claimed that the WWE may have dropped the ball on Grimes.

“[It] made me really say, ‘God, did they drop the ball with Cameron Grimes [on the main roster].’ Cameron Grimes is one hell of a performer, and [with] his ‘NXT’ stuff, I thought he was going to be a bona fide superstar in whatever brand he went to. It hasn’t happened,” Dreamer said. “Hopefully it could, because he had so much charisma with that entire [run in ‘NXT’]. He was a must-see when he was in ‘NXT,’ and now you don’t see him anywhere. I enjoyed the match, but what stood out to me was Cameron Grimes. Sometimes you don’t want to get called up because you know your talents are wasted,” Tommy Dreamer said. [H/T Wrestling Inc.]
