Trish Stratus talks about her experience on Canada’s Got Talent.

Trish Stratus is widely known for her talents in the wrestling world, but now, she’s looking to see some unique talent in people outside the wrestling realm. Currently, Stratus finds herself in the midst of filming season four of Canada’s Got Talent — a reality talent show where Stratus serves as a judge alongside Howie Mandel, Lilly Singh, and Kardinal Offishall. During a recent appearance on GAW TV, Stratus opened up about her experience on the show.

“It’s very exciting. The auditions have been done. We are in the next round now and we’re basically going to change someone’s life with 1 million dollars,” Stratus said. “Not to brag, but it’s more than AGT (America’s Got Talent]. It’s the biggest prize in Canadian history. We are the number one show in television.”

“Our network is the highest-rated show in a decade so we’re doing well. It’s honestly so much fun. Think about it, you’re like changing someone’s life. Even when we do the golden buzzer, we give $25,000 to that golden buzzer winner. It’d be life-changing for some people. And it’s very special. I love it, it’s the best gig.”

Working With Howie Mandel

Stratus, as well as Howie Mandel, were first brought aboard in season two of Canada’s Got Talent — the same season that marked the show’s official revival. While Mandel is widely known for being a germaphobe, Stratus says that he seems to have it under better control now.

“Yes, we do [bump elbows], he’s into that. But we do hug. I’m going to tell you, [Howie] is okay with hugging people he knows. Hes controlled it a little, actually, over the years, he has. He’s controlled it that whole [ick factor] of it all,” Stratus explained.

“There was one point in the beginning that I remember, in the first season, and there was a pole dancer, and he just went up on stage. I’m like, ‘Oh my God…’ and he was on the pole. I was like, ‘Oh, he must be over this germ thing’ but [he wasn’t completely]. Do it for the camera, it was one of those things. But yeah, he’ll hug with caution.”
