NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tyrus discusses his future.

Tyrus, 50, won the title at NWA Hard Times 2022, where he defeated Trevor Murdoch and Matt Cardona to win the gold. He has been wrestling since 2006, and he currently reigns supreme in the NWA, but he knows Father Time comes for everyone.

Speaking on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling, the veteran stated that he’s determined to keep performing at a high level, but he knows his clock is ticking. He stated that he’s going to go all out for the next year or so during his title run, but he’ll have to make some decisions after that.

“I’m going to continue to maintain at a high level, and I’m gonna hold this [title] for as long as I want to,” Tyrus said. “I’m also no fool. I know that my clock is ticking, and so I gotta go all out, or as they say old-school, full regalia, and this next year, year and a half as champion, and then I’m gonna have to make some decisions at the end of that. But until then, it’s not done yet. I’m still in my prime, and I’m looking forward to dominating Adonis.”

Tyrus will defend the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Chris Adonis at NWA 312 on April 7.
